    dom_staff_photoSan Luis Obispo has been coined the “Happiest City in America” many times and as a native of our beloved town, I’m glad that SLO is where I hang my hat at night. It has been a couple of years since we had such a flattering title bestowed upon us and in that time I have spent many hours analyzing what it could be that makes people here so happy. From what I have distilled from all of that analysis is this; there are a lot of reasons to be happy in San Luis Obispo. One commonality of all of those reasons, however, is that this is a healthy community. San Luis Obispo is healthy both economically and physically and it is because residents demand healthy options.

  • Want to Participate in STEAM Alley at Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market?

    STEAM_Alley_LogoSTEAM Alley is a brand new section of Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market offering interactive displays for visitors of all ages with the intention of promoting science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. STEAM Alley is a year-round event that falls on the last Thursday of each month.

    Generally, to participate in STEAM Alley, organizations would pay a $15 annual application fee and a nightly payment of $30.  For the months of June, July, and August, we will be waiving that nightly fee!

Old SLO Trolley

Trolley service is provided from both of the parking structures and at convenient locations within the Downtown core approximately every 15 minutes. The fare is 50 cents. Hours of operation are:

  • Thursdays - 5 PM to 9 PM - Year Round
  • Fridays - 5 PM to 9 PM - June-Labor Day
  • Saturday - 5 PM to 9 PM - April - October
