2013 CONCERTS IN THE PLAZA MUSICAL LINEUP
The San Luis Obispo Downtown Association proudly announces the 2013 Concerts in the Plaza band lineup. From more than 60 applicants, 15 of the area’s greatest musical groups were selected to play for the upcoming annual concert season that kicks off Friday, June 14 and runs every Friday through September 6. All concerts are free to the public and run weekly from 5:00 – 8:00 PM.

About Concerts in the Plaza
Sunset Honda presents Concerts in the Plaza; THE premiere summer concert series on the Central Coast! Thousands of people flock to Downtown San Luis Obispo every Friday between June 14 - September 6 for a free family friendly concert, in beautiful Mission Plaza.
The summer concert series features the best local musicians from Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties. Local restaurants will provide snacks and food for hungry concert goers while Firestone Walker Brewery and Edna Valley Vineyard will supply beer and wine for purchase. Non-alcoholic beverages are provided as well. Bar and food vendors open at 5:00 pm..
Over 60 bands apply each year to fill the 13 week line-up and past participants include Central Coast favorites: Resination, Damon Castillo Band, Big Daddy’s Blues Band, Nada Rasta, Cuesta Ridge and many more.
Beginning in 1996 with one concert in June, July and August, Concerts in the Plaza, now in its 18th year, has blossomed into what some call the best free party in town! You’re invited to join us for the kick-off on Friday June 14 at 5:00 p.m.
Remember… Concerts in the Plaza is a family friendly event and NO pets allowed. No outside alcoholic beverages are allowed and this is a non-smoking event. Please refrain from placing chairs and/or other material on the grassy knoll before 11:30 AM.
